At Suubi College in Uganda, chickens aren’t just livestock—they’re a gateway to education, business skills, and a brighter future.
Students at Suubi raise chicks as part of their agro-ecology curriculum, gaining practical knowledge in agriculture, science, maths, and entrepreneurship. They learn by doing—caring for animals, calculating costs, managing profits, and running real projects with real outcomes.
But chicken feed is expensive, especially maize bran for young chicks. The students and school have even had to rent a silage machine in the past—but rental costs are too high to sustain.
That’s why we’re helping Suubi buy a silage machine of their own. With this tool, they can process locally grown maize and silage into nutritious, affordable feed—reducing expenses, increasing profits, and empowering student-led learning.
